I am currently attending the Illustration Academy in Kansas City, MO and it is absolutely amazing so far! I highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning about picture making from some of the top illustrators in the industry.

I've finally moved to Kansas City and am settled into the new studio at "The Art Department". The school so far is wonderful and I am in love with the space! The picture above is my work area in the studio and where I'll be spending most of my days and nights. The faculty have been incredible and the students are hardworking and dedicated to their craft. I have alot to learn and am excited to see how my art grows through out the program.

I'm excited to announce that I'll be moving to Kansas City in early January to continue my education at The Art Department. Their classes have been wonderful so far and I am learning a great deal every day. I can't wait to get into the studio and to paint alongside all the students!

On November 12th I will be having two of my paintings auctioned at the Longboat Key Club's "Bacchus on the Beach" event. I'll be in attendance and look forward to meeting all the guests there.

The Artist's Journey Panel Discussion

On October 18th I had taken part in a panel discussion alongside Matteo Caloiaro, Brooke Olivares, and members of the Petticoat Painters. The discussion was about our different approaches to our work, the trials each artist experiences throughout their careers, and the different views on art that each participant held. A big thanks goes to the moderators Ilene Denton (Director of Marketing and Business Development Sarasota Magazine and Biz941) and Jay Handelman (Theater and TV Critic Herald-Tribune Media Group) for the wonderful job they had done. It was a great experience and I am grateful that the Longboat Key Arts Center had invited me to take part.

The Opening Reception was great last night! Thanks to everyone that came out to see the show. The Longboat Key Arts Center did a wonderful job putting the event together and much thanks to the Longboat Key Club for catering. The exhibition will be up until December 15th for those who were not able to attend the reception.

I will be part of a three man group show at the Longboat Key Center for the Arts alongside Matteo Caloiaro and Brooke Olivares. I've been pretty busy working on several paintings and drawings for the event and am excited to soon share all the new work. We'll also be part of a panel discussion being held on October 16th at the LBKCA. In the panel we'll be discussing our individual works and engaging in a number of topics with the "Petticoat Painters" which should make for a fun and interesting event. Everyone is welcomed to join either events!

I am now a full time student at "The Art Department" and am very excited with the new things I have been learning from the incredible program so far. They've been keeping me really busy lately but I'm enjoying all the assignments and lectures! Highly recommend for everyone to check out their programs if they are considering further education. I'll be posting some of the work I've been producing from those classes soon.
